We are an exciting company building a platform for Robotic Process Automation systems. Our headquarters are in Norwich where we have 20+ team members 9 of whom work in the Platform Innovation Team. We are aiming to grow the Platform Innovation Team by 2 or 3 by the end of the year starting with a full stack software developer.

About the role

Rainbird is an award winning automated decisioning engine that can perform human like decision making, by reasoning over a model of human knowledge. It enables business experts to translate their business expertise into a visual structure called Knowledge map, through a visual modelling interface that enables them to literally draw the things that are key to the business. RBLang is Rainbird’s underlying knowledge representation language that is easy to learn and extremely powerful.

This Front-end focussed role is within the Platform Innovation team, which is responsible for the design, innovation, development, quality assurance, and delivery of the Rainbird Platform.  You will join a world class team of software engineers and testers. Your focus will be to:

a. Improve  the usability of the visual modelling interface so that non-technical business experts can model intuitively without much assistance

b. Develop GUI for all activities which are currently handled via RBLang

c. Help in the growth of the product by customising it for target markets

d. Work on making the decision engine more efficient and user friendly

Our Platform Innovation Team work in agile sprints led by a Scrum Master with the Product Owner managing and guiding the features in the platform roadmap.

Experience, qualifications and certificates

  • 3+ years software development experience in one or more programming languages such as Javascript / .Net / Java / etc.
  • Must work well in a team to contribute and listen to development ideas to diplomatically arrive to a technical solution.
  • Experience of working in an agile environment.
  • NodeJS, Typescript Angular
  • Experience in User interface design.
  • Nice to have: Recursive programming experience, MySQL, Graph Databases, Degree level education, AngularJS, Jira, Git
