Lead Business Analyst

In brief:

Rainbird’s Implementation Team supports Clients in on-boarding the Rainbird Platform by delivering best in class consultancy, implementing Rainbird models, and providing training and user support to Clients and Partners.

We have a vacancy for a Lead Business Analyst within the Implementation team. You will act as the pre-eminent expert in working with Clients to analyse, decompose and capture the business logic and subject matter expertise that they are seeking to automate, so that it can be converted into a Rainbird solution by our Engineers. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining high standards of methodology and delivery for Rainbird Business Analysts as well as helping Partners and Clients to reach the same standard of expertise through the sharing of best practices.

In addition, you will use your advanced Client facing skills to  handle our most complex engagements. You will work on live projects, communicating face-to-face as well as via video and webinars and you will have a friendly personality with excellent communication, analytical and documentation skills.

About the role

The Rainbird Implementation Team sets the gold standard in implementing solutions on the Rainbird Platform and we provide a wide range of services to our Clients and Partners, from delivery consultancy and the initial build of Rainbird models through to support, training and accreditation.

Key to this role is the ability to quickly understand our Client’s business and to work effectively with their subject matter experts in a wide variety of domains and industries.  Our Business Analysts are skilled at working with Clients to analyse, decompose and capture the business logic and subject matter expertise that they are seeking to automate through a process of stakeholder interviews, workshops and process walkthroughs. As the Lead Business Analyst you will be responsible for owning this process, developing methodologies and best practice to ensure that Business Analysts within the Rainbird Implementation team, as well as within our Partners, have the tools and skills required to perform this role to an exceptional standard.

Working in close collaboration and building strong relationships with Clients and Partners is key to our model. This role is Client-facing and will require exceptional stakeholder management skills, as well as demonstrable experience as a Senior Business Analyst.

We don’t expect prior experience in Artificial Intelligence but a technical focused background is a clear advantage.

This role is based full time in our Norwich office, however the Client facing nature means some travel nationally and internationally may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting as the Practice Lead for the Knowledge Analysis phase of Rainbird implementation by owing the methodology and best practice required to decompose and capture Client subject matter expertise.
  • Disseminating this best practice to Rainbird and Partner Business Analysts and ensuring exceptional standards of quality.
  • Supporting Rainbird and Partner Business Analysts with their work by providing expert advice and oversight.
  • Proactively working with Partners to ensure consistent methods and standards of Knowledge Analysis.
  • Engaging with Clients to lead the Knowledge Analysis phase of Rainbird Implementation.
  • Construction of Client proposals and Statements of Work.
  • Building relationships with Clients and proactively working to find new opportunities for Rainbird projects.
  • Supporting colleagues in Sales and Marketing by providing high quality materials and collateral related to Knowledge Analysis such as presentations and appearing on promotional videos and webinars.
  • Delivering classroom training to Clients and Partners to upskill them in using the Rainbird platform.

Experience, qualifications and certificates

  • Experience in a Senior Business Analysis role, or demonstrable experience of having worked to understand and capture business requirements.
  • Experience of working with multiple stakeholders on a project in a Client-facing role.

  • A proven ability to be detail, deadline, and results-oriented.
