Rainbird Technologies has announced that it is launching a technology-agnostic consultancy, solutions and thought leadership business as a flagship example of it’s partnership model. The business, called Aigen (pronounced i-gen), will work for the most forward-thinking organisations, helping them innovate new AI-powered products and services, and find new levels of operational efficiency.

To facilitate this, Rainbird has today agreed terms to take over Matter AI, a well respected London-based consultancy with an excellent track record of working within the private and public sectors.  Since 2010, Matter have been leaders in bringing artificial intelligence and cognitive technologies into the heart of service design and customer experience.  Some of it’s recent clients include DWP, LV Insurance, Paddy Power and Lloyds Bank.

The entire Matter team of consultants and developers will join forces to form Aigen from January, headed by Aigen’s new CEO, James Loft.  The Aigen team will be based in new offices at Finsbury Square in London.

“We are all very excited to be backed by the team at Rainbird. Their technology is one of the most exciting around and we have already used Rainbird very effectively alongside tools like IBM Watson”, says Mr Loft. “Working more closely can only enhance the value we can deliver to our clients.”

Mr Loft continues,

“In a similar way to Matter AI – Aigen will operate with a completely independent mandate – able to identify and use best-of-breed technologies for each project to generate incredible business outcomes.  We also have growing demand for our packaged AI workshop programmes, to help clients better understand AI and define successful transformative projects.

Aigen will join a growing list of other Rainbird partners. All Rainbird partners have full access to the Rainbird ecosystem and their team of pre-sales and technical consultants. Rainbird have confirmed that they are accelerating their partner strategy in 2017, providing a more streamlined on-boarding process that enables software, app and bot development firms to quickly utilise the platform in their own client projects.

Rainbird is a next generation cognitive reasoning platform known for starting with human knowledge. Typical use cases includes building tools that automate knowledge work and augment humans in more complex tasks. Rainbird is also being used to create the next generation of consultative chat bots.

Rainbird’s CEO Ben Taylor said,

“Rainbird’s visual interface and open architecture enables easy integration with numerous data sources and other AI technologies. That makes it ideal for those who want to integrate a human model of knowledge created within Rainbird with other AI technologies like NLP and machine learning. Rainbird also provides an audit trail for all automated decisions, satisfying both customers and regulators.”

Commenting on the Matter AI deal, Rainbird’s Chairman James Duez said,

“It is great to be able to “hit the ground running” by taking on this fabulous team from Matter. We expect Aigen to act as a flagship for our partnership model with an ability to deliver compelling consultancy, as well as full project development services, with or without Rainbird being part of that solution. We succeed by ensuring our clients and their customers do the same, partnering to ensure that AI delivers demonstrable business results with the best customer outcomes.”
