About Rainbird

Rainbird is a celebrated decision intelligence platform that delivers explainable, traceable and reliable AI models that transform human decision making. Rainbird’s work is important because most AI is unable to explain its reasoning. Rainbird’s mission is to deliver safe and trustworthy decision intelligence capabilities suitable for the complex world we live in. As a result of working with us, our clients gain a superpower – the ability to bring precision, consistency and transparency to decision-intensive complex processes.

We are seeking a Solutions Engineer to support our Professional Services team and work closely with customers to integrate Rainbird into their existing technology stack. This role is crucial in enabling smooth data flows between customer systems and Rainbird, ensuring optimal functionality and ease of adoption.

Role Specification

As a Solutions Engineer at Rainbird, you’ll serve as the technical bridge between our platform capabilities and our clients’ business challenges. Your primary mission will be to rapidly translate ambiguous client requirements into tangible, working solutions that demonstrate Rainbird’s value proposition.

You’ll collaborate directly with customers and our Professional Services team to understand complex business problems, often with incomplete information, and develop prototype solutions using our low-code AI platform. This requires quickly grasping domain-specific knowledge across various industries and identifying how Rainbird’s decision automation capabilities can address critical pain points.

A significant portion of your work will involve designing and implementing integration architectures that connect Rainbird to clients’ existing technology ecosystems. You’ll develop custom data extraction layers that transform and normalize client data to make it usable within our platform, ensuring that information flows seamlessly between systems while maintaining data integrity and security.

You’ll build connectors and middleware solutions that enable Rainbird to interact with various third-party systems, including CRMs, ERPs, task automation tools, and industry-specific applications. This requires understanding diverse APIs, data formats, and communication protocols to create robust integration pathways.

Working directly with client technical teams, you’ll provide hands-on guidance for implementation approaches, helping them navigate integration challenges and optimize their use of the Rainbird platform. You’ll need to pivot quickly as requirements evolve, adapting solutions to meet emerging needs while maintaining technical quality.

You’ll develop proof-of-concept implementations and technical prototypes that demonstrate how Rainbird can solve specific business challenges, often under tight timeframes. These demonstrations are crucial for helping clients visualize the potential value and securing project advancement.

Throughout the engagement lifecycle, you’ll create technical documentation that enables clients to understand integration approaches and maintain solutions long-term. You’ll also collaborate with our product team to identify common client needs that could inform our platform roadmap.

  • A solid grasp of authentication and security protocols is crucial, including OAuth, JWT, API keys, and best practices for securing data in transit and at rest. Y
  • Your communication skills must be exceptional, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You should be comfortable leading technical discussions with client teams.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing technical role is essential, with a demonstrated ability to manage client expectations, respond to changing requirements, and maintain trusted advisor status throughout engagements.
